I think it was either earlier this year or last year: there was a snooty showing of some very precocious photography at some gallery in Santa Monica. They charged like $25 to get in, and the price of some of the photographs was tremendous. The pictures where beautiful - I remember it was mostly animals (an elephant comes to mind) - they had a website, too.. had "dreams" in it, or something along those lines.

Can anyone help? :)

Thanks,
Jano

Sounds like you might be describing Gregory Colbert's Ashes and Snow exhibit which was in LA in early 2006. Although that wasn't in "some gallery"... it travels the world with its own humongous structure (5300 square meters) constructed out of shipping containers.

Oh, didn't answer the question: if that's what you were thinking of... no, it's no longer around. It just finished up in Tokyo and is going to Mexico City next, according to the website.
