Interesting.
I've a Sony HC1000 3ccd miniDV but never used the built in still. The wide end is 3.6mm f1.6 Zeiss.
4.6mm = 28mm(35mm eqv) w 1/2.5" sensor. This HC1000 has three 1/4.7" ccd , it feels like a 40 eqv, not sure.
I see you do mtv stuff, back in late 80', I did a few mtv, w the legendary camera Ikegami 730.
The Canon HV10's single CCD CMOS sensor is amazing!
The color is out of this world compared to single chip cameras from a few years ago. I would venture to say its color rendering is almost as good as my 3CCD Panasonic DVX100 and the additional HD resolution simply pushes it over..
Ikegami 730? wow old school.. 3 tubes! lol.
In the digital video segment, we're seeing a revolution right now by means of affordable HD camcorders and 35mm lens adapters.
For less than $2K, you can assemble a setup that can compete with tremendously expensive pro gears in most cases.
