The story goes that a Leica once got run over by a tank and survived, obviously this one encountered the might of the US Armoured Corps, then they stoped and reversed back over it.

There's another story about a Leica dropped off a plane (accidentally, of course; it fell from the photographer's lap when the guy was flying on a biplane), and later found still operational.
