i wonder how would that influence the price you list, if i tell you i bought my super ikonta III with Novar for 20 euro :)

No really. What i miss on your list is the approximate numbers of sales you base your statistics on. Like, you write there the price of a SI III "with Tessar or Novar" as $325 at least. I wonder how many sales you used for this statistics, especially with the Novar version which is relatively rare to see.

I keep 90 day databases of items and then compare against private sales on RFF, photo.net as well against keh, ritzcam, kevincameras and other dealers. While the Novar is not common, it is an inferior lens to the Tessar so its a collectible, not a sought after user camera.

Also, $ 325 doesnt mean that is the least it will sell for, it means many will sell in the $ 325 to $ 425 range in EXCELLENT condition.

Thanks for the question. My guides mostly reflect ebay results + a small percentage for private and dealer sales, while taking condition into consideration for final values. However, since most dealers are on ebay themselves, ebay is the defacto market maker for cameras - especially for collectibles.

I have been enjoying the crash in pricing of some med format equipment. I just bought a Bronica SQAi body, back, 80mm, 150mm, meter prism, crank and wl finder for $ 900. Stuff is barely touched..... New, this would have cost $ 4000 about 10 years ago.
