cleaning those BL finders

Does someone knows if the silver frames deposit is on the outside of the back lens of these nice BL finders?

Do I have to be extra carefull when cleaning not to rub it out?

It's on the outside.

Just be careful as with any other lens cleaning. The chemical should do the work, not the rubbing.
