Crossprocessed "PinUps" with my Nikkor HC f2.0 50mm *Warning Pretty Girl inside!*

These are brand new shots, done just yesterday shooting with the Nikkor HC f2.0 50mm on my "Half Race" 1946 Leica IIIC

We had a great shoot, I just had some "issues" with my rewind lever and lost a great deal of the work due to a malfunction and it`s time for a CLA on that camera, I`m not going to use it untill I get it repaired :(

*I was smart and did shoot the whole shoot digital backup, but it`s NOT the same as doing it in crossprocessed film*

The lens didn`t do too bad now did it?

Looks pretty good for a lens that`s over 50 years old......eventhough it`s really artsy the Nikkor performed well, I really like this little lens, it`s going to be as important on my Leica`s as the Canon f1.5 50mm is for me

Very nice work, Tom. The second one is my favorite. Great choice to cross-process this shoot, BTW; this is a nice use of the technique. What film and E.I. did you use? Did you scan film or prints?

I pretty much always use Kodak Slide Film, I don`t like Fuji or Agfa slide (do they still make that?) it`s all a personal taste thing really......
(I also like to cut costs and use film that`s expired because it`s dirt cheap - the film I use now is $2 a roll expired I think 4 years ago, but always frozen)

Crossprocessing is "hit and miss" work, shoot and treat it like slide film and just run it through a friendly machine where the people don`t complain about the chemicals, (some people complain that the E-6 "spikes" the C-41 chemicals) but you have to send like 10 rolls of slide through the machine all at the same time to make any difference

I scan the negatives to CD and then transfrer them to work online, all prints are then custom made etc.

It`s lot`s of fun, I`m shooting now almost every shoot a sample of what I do in Crossprocessing as long as my $2 a roll supply exists I`ll be shooting it, untill I can find another source :)

Nice work Tom... looks a lot of fun - model looks relaxed and enjoying the shoot as much as you do. Maybe I can get my hairdresser to pose for me!


As for the glass - fab! Shots like these make me want to get some and try! :p
