Hi,

a lot of Leica CLs appear to have problems with their takeup spool. What workarounds have you come up with, or where is a source for replacement spools?

Phillip, I have the same issue with my CL. I've continued to use it by taping the end of the film to the spool. Apparantly the part costs about $30 and the cost of installation is about $60.

Hi Philipp I've not had any problems with my spool so far, (touch wood for luck). All the CLs i looked at before buying had the original white plastic ones. But i've seen metal replacement spools here, not sure of price.

I can't believe your CL is still available, Keith. Great deal!

It's been on eBay for a week and the auction ends tonight ... this is my first ever eBay sale and I'm as nervous as hell. It's not the price it will go for that worries me ... it's getting paid after the sale! :p

That is a great deal! Cheaper than Tokyo anyhoo. Are you sure it's worth risking it on eB#y??

I'm trying to address the Visa card debt caused by my M8 and the CL has been lurking in the classifieds here for three weeks now ... I would prefer to sell it to an RFFer but I do kind of need the funds. I am being very cautious with whoever wins the auction though!
