View Full Version : I am evil, as I have another SLR
I have been evil, I recently got a F1N with the AE finder. It needs a CLA'd. I will be sending it out next week for it. I am going to be on the search for a FD 28/F2.0 for it in the future.

[hoping that Zeiss will produce a ZF 28/2.8 one day.]
No need to be sorry, plenty of SLR lovers here. :)

Please don't put that beautiful camera on that abrasive wall!
A lovely camera. I was trying to decide between the Canon F1n and the Nikon F3 back in 1983 when I wanted to go all out and get a top-flight 35mm SLR. I found a nice F3 at a good price, and I've been happy since. I probably would have been just as happy with the Canon, except when the EOS came out.

Well she's a pretty one, a bit larger than my Bessa L, should be able to find some good glass at a great price with a bit hunting. Contrats!

Robert, that wall is the roof top of my house. I will be carefull with the F1N. Yeah I do have a Canon EOS 10s/35-135 USM lens, that I will be parting with shortly, as I do not use. A great camera. I am looking forward to using the
F1N.

I feel about my Canons the same as those around here feel about their Olys. No need to apoligize. I picked up a 50/1:4 Canon lens a month or so ago and I love that lens on mt AE1p. Your F1n is sweet.:)

Don't think you can get too much for it, might as well keep it. It's the one under-appreciated SLR.
New F-1(w regluar finder) is the best looking SLR. A poorman's New F-1 will be the EF.
Best looking EOS is the 7, the size, weight, the look, juuust perfect.
A big artical appeared in June issue of Asahi Camera Magazine on Canon film cameras called 'MF Canon Shugi' ( MF Canonism ), in it also compare the rival Nikons, such as, FA vs T90, ELW vs AE-1...

Beautiful F1N. I went the T90 route for my high end FD camera but the F series were great cameras. Enjoy!

Say, I have a chance to get a similar camera for about $150, is that a reasonable price for it or not?

I am evil too... Just a couple of weeks ago I snatched a Nikon F5 off eBay.
Heck, photography is photography, no matter your tool. :)

KEH currently has them at $199 for BGN w/ AE Finder so I'd say it's in the right area depending on condition, cost of shipping, condition, type of finder, condition... ;)

Past month or so, about all I've be using is my A2E. Partly to get used to it but also because it is a very fine camera. Gotta go get the bessa out this weekend :D

Evidently my F1N came from the USA about 3000 miles away, and will be making a trip back next week, thus more travel for this F1N. It is easy to find a 50 for it, but I am a wide guy. 28's are easy to find, but the 28/2.0 is much harder. In time I will find one.
