View Full Version : I-61LD: looking for set screw, stupid question

Hi,

I have a disassembled black Industar 61LD here that is missing one of the three large set screws in the lens barrel (the one opposite the central distance mark). Does anyone have a spare of this screw? Getting a new I-61LD just to take out the screw seems wasteful to me.

Another somewhat stupid question: when screwing the optics module into the focus module, is there a trick to ensure alignment of the aperture marks? Currently alignment is off by about 20 degrees - at f/2.8 the indicator is pointing to the "4" aperture setting on the aperture ring.

Assuming I understand correctly which screw you mean, there are 2 others which will probably hold it in place. I have an old Jupiter 8 (similar construction) which has several screws missing but still work fine.

As regards the aperture marks, you can slacken the ring with the fixed mark/DOF scale and move it around to correspond - you'll also have to move the focussing scale then or that'll be wrong instead.
