is a chrome collapsible thingy I've seen recently. Anybody have one or able to post images produced w/ one? I'm very curious about this lens. Is it less known than the 35mm UC LTM.
Another limited production Konica lens. I have only seen pictures of it on a Japanese collector's web site that is no longer available. If you live in Japan you may be able to buy one but I don't think they are available here in the US.

Thanks Peter. I've seen one for sale. But w/ no images or reviews available, I wouldn't buy one.

("nice" by his standards, given that it isn't a Leica lens)

I know how you feel mate. I've covetted this lens for a while now along with the 60 1.2 LTM. I've somehow convinced myself that life won't be complete until I own them. Maybe the next big contract I win that's paying cash???

I hear ya - these 2 lenses are so cool and unique and from very few photos I have seen taken with them look very much like a "must have" . Just need to find funds for them.... Trying not to disturb that peace I have made with my VISA.......:bang:

Jeff Smith may own more 50mm lenses than FrankS, if you can imagine such a thing. :D
Or even me, unless you count my Sonnars separately.
Jeff's also a heckuva nice guy.

I've only dealt with him "virtually" but indeed he seems to be a really good guy. And yes, he must have an example of every 50 out there.
He has taken an excellent series of post-Katrina photos. I think he was displaced from NO for a time afterwards.

...were displaced after Katrina. I chose to make the displacement permanent. Jeff is to be congratulated for continuing to use traditional silver based media in post-Katrina New Orleans. Not an easy task.
