Are you using Adobe CS3 and suffering from the maddeningly slow mouse? This affliction usually hits those who use a Logitech mouse, as do I. The solution, which worked for me: in Mouse Properties (I'm talking Windows XP here) on the 'Motion' tab, deselect 'Disable acceleration in games.' Apparently, the Logitech software thinks Adobe CS3 is a game! Doing as I suggest enables your mouse to behave normally in CS3.
When I used the evaluation version of Elements my mouse was annoyingly slow then as well. Perhaps Elements users can benefit from this advice too.
Thats strange... I have a logitech mx500 mouse or something like that... works like a charm. Granted I always turns off mouse accelleration. its annoying to have on anyway.

I tried this solution for my new version, CS7, and it worked! Adobe :bang: would have had me modifying everything from the preference files and registry to re-installing the XP Pro operating system, all for no good reason. Thanks for this simple solution.:)
