View Full Version : Just arrived
My latest acquisition arrived yesterday- a Zorki-6, ordered frm Yuri at Fedka.com. It's the first Zorki I've seen (or have) with a hinged back and (mirablile dictu) a BUILT-IN takeup spool. No more falling out when the beast is opened. It has an Industar-50 (spelled in Russian, of course). I have some other Zorkis, including one Z-4 with a Jupiter-8 lens, so it will be fun trying out different lenses on the new camera.
Except for a 2, I now have at least one Zorki from 1 to 6. (Also three Kievs.)
Congratulations! The Z6 is my all-time favorite Russian RF!

i've never seen that model...
pics?
The Z6 is the ONLY classic Soviet Leica copy with a hinged back. It looks a lot smarter with a J-8 or J-12 than the rigit I-50.
I have several choices, including 2 J8s (rigid version), two Industar-22s (collapsable) and a collapsable Industar-50. The Z6 came with the rigid -version Industar-50, but I can interchange and see how the various lenses work out, since they will all fit the various Zorkis I have.

There is one other Zorki Rangefinder with a hinged back like the Zorki 6. The Zorki 10. But the Zorki 10, allthough it has a rangefinder does not have interchangable lenses.... so you're stuck with the lens that's on it. There's also a Zorki 11 which is identical to the 10 but without the rangefinder.
I've got two Zorki 6's and next to my Lomo and the Zorki 1 it is one of my favourite streetshooters :-)
