I picked up a very nice Konica III off the auction site. The camera is in great cosmetic shape, handles well, and looks pretty cool. The Hexanon 48/2 should be a great lens - good reputation anyway.

The shutter speeds are off though. Sometimes the shutter hangs open at slow speeds. Does anyone know of a reputable service tech who will work on this MXL leaf shutter? I asked Don Goldman and he does not.

I send my cameras to Dean Williams. (http://www.deansphotographica.com/). He's honest, reasonable, and does very fine work.
Highly recommended.

He got my Konica I back up to speed a couple of months ago.

I second Rose here. Dean is a great person for such cases.

I sent a badly beaten-up Konica IIIa to Greg Weber. The camera had extreme shutter problems and was also just generally in bad shape. He was very nice to work with and the camera returned good as new. His info is:
