View Full Version : Repair aperture on Nikon LTM 135mm lens
Where/Who would you suggest to "free" up a sticky f-stop ring? When I focus the 135mm f 3.5 Nikon LTM lens and then try to change the f-stop, I move the focus! To use the lens I must first set the f-stop and then focus. Not good for the correct exposure in an M6!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the lens was designed to work how you're describing; the same thing happens when using the old 50 f/2.8 Elmar (amongst other Leica collapsible). Since there is only one helical, the entire body forward of the helical rotates during focusing; if the aperture is included in this, it rotates too.
Really-this the way it was designed? Oh my. I will attempt to re-learn my way of photographing.
