A week or so ago "backalley" sold me a mystery camera. When it arrived I savoured the mystery thru the unwrapping etc. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process and I am delighted with the purchase.
I thought others might enjoy guessing what the camera is.
Here it is - one part of the puzzle at a time. First clue is a photo of part of the camera - the release button.
P.S. I posted on this general forum so as not to give any further clues.
Is it a German Werra with a Zeiss lens?

Here's the viewfinder. Top shutter speed is 1/250. Any more guesses?

Well ... both of you nailed the make ... it's a Werra I with a 50mm 2.8 Zeiss Tessar and a Vebur shutter (1sec. to 1/250).
Either my clues were too easy or we have good experts on the forum (I guess the latter).

Thanks for the info thirteen! It seems like a good camera - I hope you enjoy it!
I always wanted to try one of those! I've studied it closely online :) The recessed shutter release is kind of unique.

There are quite a few unique features in the Werra. Great little cameras.
Here's my writeup about the Werra 3 (http://elekm.net/zeiss-ikon/werra3/)

The shutter button was an easy giveaway.
Werras are fairly unique.
