am looking thru my 1951 leica manual --- there's a few films mentioned that are no longer in production... what would be the modern film equivilents (also, what was the iso / asa / din ratings for the older films)
super-xx
plus-x
also, interesting to note, there's a picture of a couple and child on the subway by look magazine photographer stanley kubrick

Super XX was said to be ISO100
Plus X most likely ISO50
Here is an interesting thread on Super XX at photo.net http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Azbn

The Plux-X I rememeber, late 1960s, not to show my true age, was 125.
Super-XX was my dad's favorite film and he was always complaining that they discontined it. IIRC it was an even 100 as you say. Super-XX and Verichrome Ortho went bibi about the same time, mid 1950s.

Plus-X is still around, and it's still rated at ISO125.

DMR
It was 125ASA after they altered the 2.5 stop safety factor to 1.25 stops, circa 1961.
Then ASA changed to ISO.
Alas I recall this like it seems yesterday, sniff...
I'd a been more upset without Erik's post, Ta.
