Contax T2: A roll of exposed film

I really like the Contax T2. It is small but heavy. The Zeiss lens is very sharp. It is a basic and elegant camera with easy to use functions. It is aperture priority. I took it with me last week when we went out at sunset time. I shot four rolls (24 exposures each) of Walgreens ASA400 film that was on sale for $0.99 recently. I set the camera to ASA 400 and shot away.

Raid you are really getting some good results from the T2, makes me want to use mine more often.

I recently used some of that film, and it's actually a surprisingly nice film for the price.

In this image, Dana was standing on a picnic table at Dairy Queen, overlooking Escambia Bay. It is close to our home.

The next image shows the newly built bridge over Escambia Bay that is replacing the one that collapsed during Hurricane Ivan. Solid steel and concrete did not resist the strength of water! Note the vignetting. This is a feature of the T2 lens.

I would check on ebay first for selling prices. Next, I would check on photo.net or here for T2 cameras on sale. Don't forget www.keh.com. They have them once in a while.

Nice pics, Raid! I know the Sonnar 38/2.8 from my T cameras: its medium contrast is perfect for those sunny scenes. The ultra-modern S35/2.8 on the T3 has a high contrast that is hard to control.

Beautiful stuff Raid- that one of your daughter turning around is another winner. I really like the T2, but do find the handling of the TVS just a little bit better. Rub is the lens on the TVS isn't quite the equal of the Sonnar.

These show that great 'Zeiss color'- one of the things I love most about shooting the T's, G's and now ZM's.

Thanks. As for the Hexar AF camera, I used yesterday my Silver Hexar. It is a great camera with a great lens.

Raid I have one and love it. The Contax camera build quality and optics are great. I should use it more as I am especially drawn to its crisp, high contrast and razor sharp shots. The only very slight problem I have ever had with this camera is that its flash can over power the scene at close distances. For longer shots and lanscapes it is superb for those occasions on which there is no desire to carry a larger camera. I alos love the ergonomics of the camera - a twist dial for settings and a high degree of controlability such as manual focussing and manual ISO setting if you choose to over riide the auto functions. Great little camera. I was once almost tempted by the T3 but never bought it because I decided it was too small for my hands and relied too much on small and fiddly buttons and menus rather than twist dials for non auto settings.

I share the feelings about using flash with the Contax T2 camera. In the following images I knew that it was dark, but I preferred not to use the flash.
