View Full Version : Pushing the push question a bit further. E6 push?
What about pushing E6?
100 -> 400?
400 -> 800 or 1600?
Am I going to get acceptable results?
The reason is the same, low light, slow lens, handhold.

with some films.
Provia 400F is especially good for pushing. I've run it to 1600 with very good results, and I know at least one photog who regularly runs it at 3200 with suprisingly good results.
Grain increases a fair bit so it works better on 120
I don't see the point of pushing 100 speed film to 400 when you can buy 400 speed film. Pushing is always a compromise.

It increases the contrast and sort of bleaches the mid-tones, handy in fashion work to give the models a pale flawless look, but no I don’t see the point either
