I have a Zorki-3. On the slow speed dial there is a Cyrillic "D". Does anyone know what it represents and when it should be used?

That's your T setting, which locks the shutter open when the shutter release is depressed.

As in ... the relase operates as a toggle? Mine just does a 1 second (+/-) cycle (I think; I never looked at the curtains, but will do do now.)

Thanks -- do you know what the Russian word is?

I'm glad to see this, because I was wondering exactly the same thing. Now would someone explain what the little symbols around the shutter button collar mean on several Zorkis I have?

Some of those Zorkis, ordered on e-bay, came with instruction books. Nice, gesture, except I CAN'T READ RUSSIAN. I have downloaded some instructions- they are readily available for some models, maybe they will explain the problem (not the Russian, but the symbols!!).
