Hi All,

Fortunate or unfortunate... I'm one of those that does not get on too well with Photoshop, even PS 7, which I had for a while. So thanks to Sylvaticus, I'm trying out ACDSee Pro Photo Manager for 30 days. It'll be 129.99 at buy time.

I had Nikon's Capture NX which is slow and more expensive. I'd be delighted to hear from anyone having experience with ACDSee Pro. Working with a large image on the canvas was a pleasure, and my new 9.89kb Avatar was made with this editor, and I did not have to go nutsy in Resizing ;-)

Cheers, mike

I used ACDsee until version 7.
Than switch to FSviewer (http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDownload.htm)..and never come back.

I tried acdsee on my pc it was slow and cumbersome, Piccasa is free quite fast although limited in its editing uses its a nice organiser. If you want a free editor try the gimp or paint . net alas they dont do piccasa for the mac

I considered ACDSee years ago but opted for Paint Shop Pro instead. IIRC, I found PSP much more intuitive. I've been stuck on PSP 7 ever since it came out and don't feel a need to upgrade as it does everything I want, and more. Let us know about ACDSee, though. It's good to have options.
