can anyone in the Uk say how long it takes to do please?

In my experience (two CLAs) the turnaround is about a month (less than the advertised time in the CRR website). It depends really on the workload at the time you are sending in your camera.

Your best bet is to give Peter Grisaffi a ring and ask him directly. You will find the telephone number in the website.

I agree... Speak to them directly on the phone.

About 6 months ago I acquired a damaged Leica R7 for £35 from evilbay. I Told Peter the story of how I acquired it and how much I paid for it. He told me to send it to them for a quote. After quoting, he repaired and CLA'd it, then returned it in under a week. He also knew the history of the camera, as he had seen it before!
