Lovely photographs.
It's got me feeling all nostalgic now. I think I'm heading back this winter.

The street scene with cobblestones is very intriguing...almost looks like a movie set. Do you recall your exposure settings / lens etc. I particularly like the lighting levels on the cobbles, and in the sky. Very nice.

Tim:

I shot that image with the 35/2 ASPH. Camera settings are below:
Shutter Speed: 1/45 sec
Exposure: Manual
Aperture: f/2.0
ISO: 160

The image was shot at 2:56 AM and there are no PS manipulations other than my custom B&W conversion.

The light in Finland at this time of the year is amazing. I was there for a client's wedding and it was amazing how I shot until about 10:30 pm at ISO 160 in the middle of a forest... pretty neat experience

Thanks!

Riccis,
Well that is just what is so enchanting.....the street looks like a night scene, but then the sky defies it. Just remarkable. Please post some more, and thanks for the data. Wow, wide open, but such a good lens.

Riccis,

Did you use DNG format? If so, what did you use to process your files? Your photos are excellent! Keep 'em coming.

I only shoot RAW... I did a straight conversion in Lightroom with no additional tweaks. I converted to B&W in CS3 using my own custom conversion.

Thanks for all the nice words...
