For the last year or so, this is the one that gets most use from me:

I know, I know, it is no rangefinder, but I started this thread here because I gather most poeple's most useds will be RFs... won't they?

Actually it's this camera that I use the most. Don't slay me because it ain't a rangefinder. It's my little baby.

I've just sold the two cameras that I've used most over the past year - Bessa-R and Bessa-L

My leica IIIc and Yashica 635. I use them equally depending on my mood for either medium format or 35.

Bessa R. Small, light, inexpensive. Does all I need.

I used to use SLRs for a very long time. I have a couple of very heavy ones. What I find most comfortable now are the small moderately priced rangefinders of the 70's & 80's. They are, as I said, small and light weight. I am comfortable carrying them anywhere. I lay one on my car seat. I'll stuff one in a knapsack or wrap one around my wrist. The ones with the 35mm or 40mm lenses are easy to focus. They are silent and subjects are unaware that they are being photographed, providing, of course, you do it quickly. (A lot has been written about which rangefinder is quieter. I think this is a moot discussion. Next to my ear some are louder than others but the test should be done from the subjects perspective...maybe 10 feet and I suspect that the listener will not hear anything. Just thought I add that additional comment.)

Leica CL & Yashica Electro 35 GSN, but since I bought a FED 5, I've been using that more and more.

M7 .72 & M7 .58 with the M5 a close second.

Hmmm . . . . the one I *carry* the most is the Canon G7. The one I *enjoy* the most is the M8 (followed closely by the R-D1) -- but the one I *depend* on most is the Nikon D200.

Provided you're adept with scale focusing this is a great choice ... I have one and should use it more. Excellent lens and the meter on mine seems dead accurate and the left wind on lever is a quirk that is easy to get used to.

I think the camera I use most is my A620 point and shoot ... I take some crap pics with it though but it is a good camera to have at hand if it means not missing a potentially interesting pic! It gets used a lot for photographing my other cameras ... to feed the gearhead within! :D

Currently it's a Hexar RF.

You're all gonna move away from me on the bench, so to speak :) but this is the one I use most. It's now over 10 years old, and I don't know what I'm gonna do when it gives up. I don't think these are able to be repaired.

Sorry about the crummy photo, it was cropped from a family portrait done with a friend's {d-word} camera.

Curent camera that I use the most would be my Contax G2 w/ 35 2.8 , Followed by my Canon XTI w/ 17-55 zoom.

R-D1 with 28, 50, and 90 Hexanons. The 90mm is great. For superior bokeh though, I use the 50/1.5 Nokton wide open :)

My recently purchased new M6ttl is making my much loved Hexar Rf feel a little neglected at the moment. Generally it has a CV 35 Ultron attached but I expect a new Hexanon 35 UC which arrived from Matsuiya last week will supplant the CV in popularity. My Hex M 28, 50 and 90 lenses compete when I carry a 2 lens kit when hiking. But if I'm heading "Bush" in the 4 wheel drive, everything comes which includes the lovely little Cv21 and a Nikon FE2 with a 55 micro lens.

Nikon F2 with the Nikkor 50/2. The Leica IIIf w/ Elmar comes in second at the moment, while waiting for the Rolleicord Vb to come back from CLA. Then things will probably change in favour of the Rollei.

I think there are still some of these around new- unless it's the zoom model. Try Freestyle- less than $100 last time I got a catalog if I'm remembering right.

Not much worse than having a favorite item disappear.:(

This is the zoom model. Yeah, I know, not popular here, but I'm spoiled by the zoom, both on this one and on the SLR.

(I can just feel everybody moving away from me on the bench -- hey, I didn't get nuttin, I had to pay $50 and pick up the garbage.) :)

Curiosity got to me so I checked the big B&H wish book. They still list the 38-150 (chrome/silver) version of this at $119.95. I really don't know what I will do when it dies. I really don't want to get a {d-word} P&S!

Didn't Leica once make a smaller film P&S camera?

...Didn't Leica once make a smaller film P&S camera?

There are three fairly recent ones- C1, C2 & C3 (simple enough). I've no experience with any of these, I have a couple of Contax T2's and a Tvs that fill this need for me. Couldn't begin to count how many films I've put through that Tvs...

There is another- Zx something or other I think, a little older- circa 2000.

My wife's step-mother has the fixed lens Stylus Epic and has made untold beautiful images of her many kids & grandkids with it. A really excellent camera, and exceptional build quality- seem to last forever, but that day does come for nearly any camera I suppose....
