View Full Version : Walz Envoy
Does anybody, I mean anybody have any information on the Walz Envoy RF?
I want to know some background info and such, maybe a manual or instructions.

A very nice camera. I liked mine, except for the coupled aperture
and shutter speed dials (EV system), which was a real PITA.

I've got one coming in the mail. It seems to have a great lens - the results I've seen have been exceptional. I'd be curious if anyone knows for sure whether it's a rebadged camera or if Walz made it themselves from scratch.

I can't answer that, but FWIW my recently acquired Walz Wide has
a very similar style and feel, i.e. a strong "family resemblance"...

The Envoy has an amazing lens, but the view finder is lacking compared to the likes of a M series. Its a fun little camera, just not very fast due to the lens containing all the speeds and aperture controls.
Sorry for the double post.
Heres a few.

Me with a fresh haircut and an old camera.
Sorry for the crap scans. I don't have PS anymore so I can't mess with the levels or sharpness.
Cool shots HSI, can't wait for mine.

Here's a Google translation of a Japanese webpage
including information about the Walz Wide camera:
Camera name Waltz (sic) wide
Country of manufacturer & manufacturer
The japanese waltz trading company
Production years 1958
Shutter Copal B, 1~1/300 Lens [warutsua]
35mm F2.8
Olympus the point of popularity receiving the influence of the wide private
machine which is cut, if with the camera which was made, as for the body
you say that with the camera which was made relatively politely, there is
no feature it is the camera which is not.
Hope this helps... ;)
