Does anyone know, in sending a small parcel to Russia, such as a camera body for CLA to Oleg... is ordinary Airmail OK, or does registered mail add any measure of security?

I sent a Fed-1g for CLA, NOT as registered airmail to Oleg, and it got there OK.
Thanks, mike

I did it something like 5 times - no problems. Ordinary airmail.

Thanks, Michael & mah nishma?

If you sent Oleg 5 cameras for CLA, he must really be good! Ruben bought a Fed-2C from him with smooth winding and a very quiet shutter. I also have a Fed-2b, Exc-, bought from Fedka... which I may sell. I now have a Nikon D40 dSLR and love it, yet, I'm not giving up on my much loved and classic film cameras.

BTW: Did you get the Bessa you wanted? I sold the T, which I wasn't using, and the Bessa R is one of my all time favorites. QUESTION: What's the little flower under
your name?

Cheers, mike

All Oleg ask is string and brown paper to discourage casual pilferage, I use normal air mail .

I used "normal" Airmail, and marked the package:

Used Film camera for repair
Value: $15- [fifteen usd]

It got there, as did everyone else's, above.
Cheers, mike ;-)
