View Full Version : KYOCERA's service sucks.
I purchased my G2 at christmas time last year; then I sent the rebate form right after that. It has been almost 3 months, and now i am still waiting for my rebate. So I called their service department today. I waited for 25 minutes near the phone, and no one picked up the phone. It just kept asking me to wait for the next available agent. I wonder if any of you guys have run into situation like this and what I should do now. Thanx.

The Contax service here in Italy is really good, I would keep calling...probably they had some sort of problems,even if what happened is frustrating..
I have had good experience with their warranty and service departments in the USA.
You may try writing them a letter explaining the situation, and might include a copy of your sales slip, etc. Perhaps your original mail was lost?
I too have a camera in for service in the US and I cannot get any response from Kyocera either. Mine has been in three weeks with no update. You cannot get anyone on the phone, I was on hold for 1.5 hours today "waiting for the next available agent".
I believe ToCad may have taken over the service and have a call in with them. I will post anything I find out.
Same here . . . No one picks up the phone on the Contax extension, but I hsve gotten through on the main Kyocera number, but not to people who handle Contax. Frustrating.
My experience with them was favorable... but it all was through e-mail. I've found they're better at that. And, no, I never called them. In fact, one of the very few companies I ever called was Nikon, and their representative that day must have been having digestive or marital problems. Never called again, nor do I intend to.
They did pick up the phone quickly, though...
One thing, wei: what time are you calling Kyocera? Have you tried early in the morning?

One last thing: my rebate from UMAX (you know, the scanner maker) took about 4 months to come... And it was only $20! :eek:
OK, quick update. I called ToCad this morning and they answered right away. Belive me, that was shock #1 after trying to call Kyocera for the past week. They were very nice and they did indeed have my NX which is in for repair. They said they are still getting things settled but that the camera should be done in a week or so.
All in all they were VERY nice and responsive, a good sign for those of us who continue to use Contax products. I'll let you know how they did on the repair once the camera is returned.
Thank you all. folks. After the frustrating calling experience yesterday morning, good thing finally happened. I surprisinly receive my rebate today. $300 as promised. I think it is this forum who helped me get my message across to KYOCERA. I think i should come here more oftenly from now on. I feel a lot more confident about Contax now. ;) ;) ;) :)
