I wanted this for a long time, and today seemed to be the day...

A black Leica M6 TTL body in near mint condition, with box (!), s/n 2472xxx (must be around 1998), offered for 975 euro... and after a bit of negotiating I finally got it for 890 euro! Well well. Tomorrow I will pick it up (if it wasn't a 2 hour drive I would have picked it up right away.)

I feel lucky! (it's a bargain isn't it??)

I don't think it's that extraordinary of a deal. Enjoy the camera however.

I informed myself about the prices before I bought the ZI. The price is not bad at all, the ones I got offered at this price have been older and without the box.

Congrats and enjoy

Yes it's a good price for a M6. Enjoy it and show some pics!

If its really mint - its a very good deal, but not a super bargain, at least in the US.

Most M6's on the used market are in great shape - so the diff between excellent and mint is fairly small.

Ah, the one in Wierden I suppose?
I think it's a good deal. I just sold a good M6 classic for ERU 850,- a few weeks ago.

Have fun.

I believe that M6 is the best buy in Leica M system now: Modern, built-in meter with a very reliable history of service. You will surely enjoy it for many years to come. Futhermore, you will probably able to sell it in the future for the same price you paid for it.

There were a flurry of M6's ending in the UK today, they went from £380-£550 I was sorely tempted to bid... Right bargains, but I'm after glass or saving for an M8 really...
