Really tough to use the search engines for this kind of thing since the strings are so common . . .

What's a fair price for a Canon LTM 50mm f/1.4 in proper working condition with clean glass?

I've already been able to find 'reviews' that praise it. Of course, I wonder how it compares to the Summilux, fixed mount Summicrons and, of course, the beloved J8. ;)

Hmm, I guess the last ones I've seen were on the $250-$300 range.

The last one I watched on ebay closed at $244 I believe.

Hmmm . . . had a sense the dealer who is offering the one at which I'm looking was a bit high.

Thanks!/ScottGee1

I paid $400 for mine with a near mint Canon 7. Lens was EX cosmetically, very minor haze on surface closest to the aperture blades that I cleaned off.

I recall paying $350 for mine, near mint w/hood & rear cap.

With the purported 'Rangefinder Renaissance' going on, I'm wondering if prices for lenses, etc. are trending upward, especially since the Epson R-D1 is available.

This started with Canon EOS stuff shortly after the D30 came out. As more people get digital bodies, prices on used gear increase because of limited supply and more (a LOT more) buyers.
