Hi All...
Seems to be my week for "strapping issues." ;-)

I'm looking for a bright idea to go from the ring of the Gordi wrist strap, to the 1/4 inch tripod adapter thread of a Fed-1g with no ears.
See photo.

Let's hear and thanks, mike

Whatever you do, it will work itself loose and then your camera will crash to the ground.

what about a 1/4 key screw and a washer - no ring?

You know, I really read your thread as 'Wrist strap to tripod HEAD'.. So, you can imagine how curious I was about what you were trying to achieve.

Serious though, if its a small thread in there, why not scavenge an old tripod for the screw and hook the ring on that screw (with a washer if the screw head is smaller than the ring)?

A bit of locktite (the one that can be taken loose again) should keep it in place.

Thanks guys... The more expensive solution is the Gordy wrist strap with a connector designed for 1/4 inch tripod thread. See Link:

There's a nuts & bolts shop near the auto repair district nearby, andf I'll check there first. BTW: The Fed-1g [almost same camera as Zorki 1] is goint to Oleg for CLA.

Cheers, mike

Dear Bob,

I am looking for a tripod screw with a D-ring, like the one you posted here. Do you know where I may find something like that?

I appreciate your help.
