Will this strap work for my Rolleiflex

I am looking for a strap for my recently purchased 3.5E. Will this strap work for my Rolleiflex?

In the enlarged picture, I can see that the strap has two small metal eyelet (keyring). It seems that I can attach them to the strap holder of the rolleiflex. Have you tried it before?

In general, has anyone tried attaching a small keyring to the strap holder, and then attach a strap to the keyring?

I'm currently using big paper clips but it is not vey reliable. A recipe for disaster to be more accurate.
Sewing on a loop of miniature nylon webbing that can loop through both the fasteners on the camera and the strap itself may work but I've yet to get around to it.
