Hello everyone,

I picked up this item long time ago, but never figured out what it is for. It may be for using some M39 enlarging lenses on a Kiev camera, or adapting to a microscope? Here is an image FYI. It looks like a factory made item.

Cheers,

Zhang

Hello Zhang, do you think it could be a soviet version of the Zeiss 50/3.5 Macro-Tessar ? I looks like the mounted lens is an Industar-22 50/3.5

Maybe it was used for photo reproduction ?

Hi Max,

Thanks for the link. It certainly looks like a Soviet version of the Zeiss Macro-Tessar lens tube with clever modefications. It would be easier to focus the I-22 or I-50 lens, or to move the copy arm up and down. I believe it is for the same application. An I-50 or any other high quality lens combined with this tube is a Soviet Zeiss Macro-Tessar.:)

Kind Regards
