Nice photo. The Summitar is an amazing value in Leitz lenses. Thank you for sharing this example. I am always curious when someone posts a Summitar photo, did you use a lens shade? The "barn door" type?

Thank you like2fiddle, I don't have a shade for the Summitar, I'm searching for one, but I don't like the barm door
Ciao

Franco, my Summitar also reproduces reds with plenty of saturation. I take care to use the SOOPD which a friend found for me at a reasonable price.

Hi Payasam, is SOOPD a "model" of shade? How is it like? Should I search in Inernet for a "SOOPD SADE", with no other specifications?
Franco
ps: the red of the oat was really very bright. I think my Cosina Voigtlander 35 saturate reds even more than the Summitar
The SOOPD is the collapsible "barn door". The earliest variant, which I have, has a clamp tightened with a thumb screw. Later variants press sprung clips into the groove on the lens. The groove comes in two shapes. The first variant will fit all Summitars.
