Before bidding too much, remember that a lot of Canonets have been coming up here at RFF for reasonable prices, from about $40 for one with marks on lenses to $150 for a rebuilt one, and lots in between from $50~$100. It will be interesting to see what this one ends at.

I 2nd that.
Considering it's already at $31.00 seven days into a ten-day listing, I'm betting it'll go for around $100-110. I'd rather spend the money on a CLA for my Ricoh 500G (which I must get around to having done one of these days...).
Hey, that's the one I'm bidding on! :)

I would only spend $100 for a clean and guaranteed one. Otherwise one can be had for about $65 or so in a pretty nice shape, but I guess you always take a chance.

I have a decent condition black QL-17 available. They are a bit rarer and command silly money on ebay. This one has a fresh battety, some very small dings in the base, has the plastic/leather semi-hard case with strap and needs seals (though with the lower half on it's usable as is). RFFers can make an offer. I do have photos of it available.

dmr436, just making a guess based on past experience bidding for these things... you never really can tell how those things will go though.

I know. :)
I'm really not in a big hurry. I've been watching some like this and some of them seem to go in the $30-ish range. I know not to get into a bidding war. :)

Indeed you are powerful in the Force, eBay Padawan :) I still occasionally get sucked into those, much to my PayPal balance's dismay :bang: As long as I don't look at them, I can't be tempted...
If you look closely at the view with the back open, you will see black gunk along the chrome bottom plate. The light seals are shot.

William,
I would be interested in that QL - can you send me some pics via PM, please?
Many thanks
There is no guarantee that this one even works...No battery, no film, needs seals.
It sure to need a rangefinder cleaning too. May or may not have oily shutter blade
problem or fungus lens...unless you want to learn to repair them, get one from a
member here, they do come up for sale on the forum.

Well, I do want to learn how to repair them - I know how to do the seals and have an old one for parts, so if the price was right.....
