Over 2 months ago I ordered from Henry's, Canada a Pentax A 77mm f/1.8 LIMITED.
They have a manual credit card check - you have to send scans of your card and statement.
I had recently had my wallet stolen, and my card was a new replacement. I explained this to Hernry's, and sent alternative verification (screenshot of the online statement) which they said should be fine - "we'll contact you within the week if we need anything else, otherwise presume your order is on the way - also, its a specail order product, it may take 6-8 weeks"

I've been sat here drooling with anticipation for 8 weeks!

Sent an email last week to see if it was on its way.......

 "You didn't send us the credit card information we stipulated!!"

How have your Henry's purchases gone? Should I try again or forget it?

It's a bit hard to compare since I'm local to Henry's, but I've bought several thousand dollars worth of stuff from them both via Ebay and in-store.

While I would write them and ask to speak with a manager. Get a name and a phone number. Call them if you can, just for a few minutes, make sure the manager will be there and be waiting for your call.

This sounds like one group knew and another did not, might just be a different person was working that job that day.

Reach out to them every way you can.

Good luck.

I am curious about why you are buying from Henry's Canada when you are in Bratislava, Slovakia?

There are a lot of credit card scams involing Eastern Europe (I know, Bratislava is more central Europe than eastern), but people are right to be super careful.

There must be closer dealers in Germany and Austria that would be in the same time zone...

Anyway, good luck.

I have made some purchases from Henrys in the past, thru ebay as I recall, but maybe some otherwise too. No problems then. But is has probably been a couple of years since I bought from them. I thought their prices got a little higher than I liked. Products were fine though.

I've bought from Henry's at least a couple of times, once fairly recently, without problems. Prices can be high but the service was excellent with fast emails and shipping, and products arriving well packed as described. This sounds to me more like miscommunication then something more serious, like a lie or some kind of fraud. It happens to the best of them.

That credeit card stuff must be a new thing- I got the last of their stocks of Agfa Ultra 100 back 6 months ago or so and gave my debit card info over the phone. (Now that I'm thinking maybe it wasn't them? if they have several stores across Canada then it was them- it came in from all the shops and was shipped in one box) I have also used Paypal with them for several ebay purchases. They've always been easy for me.

Well...I bought 3 filters for my Perkeo II from Henrys via eBay and when they arrived, there was only 2 filters.

One e-mail to them, the third filter was shipped.

Seemed to me...it been pretty straight forward, but they resolved it.
