Any to recommend? I'm after CV wides (or any other reasonably priced wides in screw) and don't know where to start looking. I've tried posting a wanted ad but no luck.

Cheers,
rich.

Ffordes (https://secure.ffordes.com)

and

Robert White (http://www.robertwhite.co.uk)

Edit: Corrected URL to Ffordes. Very helpful staff, I bought my 25mm there.

These guys have a 21mm CV lens... no idea if the price is any good, no connection with shop. I hate their strapline "where the elite meet and greet"...

I wonder if they realise how tacky it sounds? I too would heartily recommend Ffordes - stock changes rapidly, prices are good and service s seconed to none.

This can also be quite useful when looking for gear - http://www.ukcamera.co.uk/

I would recommend both Collectablecameras.com and Jem Kime in Manchester (Jem does not have a website, but he trades on eb*y as the Real Camera Company - which is where you will find him in the phone book).

Both will negotiate on price and offer great service - I know, I have bought from both.

That price must include a camera body; the lens new is only about £200.00
where the elite meet and greet

It sounds like it to me - it says "VOIGTLANDER BESSA R/21MM/4 LENS"

Richard Caplan wouldn't let me through their door last time I tried to drop in there for a browse. I must have had the wrong shoes on or something.

My vote goes for www.apertureuk.com. No affiliation, just good dealings with them over the last few years. Otherwise ffordes and mxv have always been good at relieving me of money too.

www.ffordes.com (http://www.ffordes.com) no affiliation with them. Their service is second to none, as far as I'm concerned best in the UK.

I'll add my vote to ffordes.co.uk as a good supplier - have spent many hundreds with them. Their website is also a good reference to check on ebay prices - last night I watched a Bronica go for too high a price having checked on ffordes first.

mifsuds are also very good, then mxv and ApertureUK - though mxv and mifsuds have little in the way of Leica bodies...

That's disgraceful!

Just to clarify my previous post, I wasn't recommending Richard Caplan, but simply indicating that they had a wide lens to sell.

Like many others, I have used Ffordes a lot and am very happy with their service. I also must mention Camtech UK ( http://www.camtechuk.com/ ) who have given me out of hours telephone assistance at the weekend with a lens I bought from someone else! How good is that!

Just checked Camtech UK and they have a mint VOIGTLANDER 15mm f4.5 SUPER WIDE HELIAR + FINDER for £209. My experience is that when they say mint, they mean mint.

MW Classic (http://www.mwclassic.com/) are good, but they're internet/ebay-only.
My only gripe with them is their website, it's only updated in the evening. You've no idea if you've got the item you've put an order in for, until the item isn't listed the next day.

Thanks everyone. I'll keep an eye on your lens too, abumac.
