View Full Version : Efke KB25
I am returning to film after several years digital. My favorite film was Adox KB14. Is Efke KB25 the same film?

Never shot that Adox- the Efke 25 is much like Agfapan 25 to my eyes- perhaps a tad contrastier and a tad grainer- tho my stocks of APX25 were somewhat old when I did my testing of the Efke. If you haven't heard about the Adox CMS 20 and like that old school look give it a try. A microfilm, so it needs a special developer, but my initial impressions were very good. I've only shot 2 rolls so far, waiting for the sun to return to New England next month.

Don is a member here (x-ray). Send him a PM to confirm.
Thanks for the response-KB25 does appear to be the old ADOX film. I just developed a roll of ADOX to see if I still favor this film. If so, I will order the Efke film from Freestyle.
Thanks again,
Maybe Freestyle is the only place you can get Efke currently. JandC seem to have closed down for a few months. I think they're relocating the business to Nevada.
Good luck with the Efke, I have some KB50 here that I really should use...

I miss JandC! They'll be getting an order from me as soon as they will accept it!
Maybe this link helps:
