Hi!
I am looking for the Visible Dust stuff, like the 1.3 Pro kid or one of the Artic Butterfly things.

To get these tools in Europe or better in Austria is very difficult.
I don't wanna spent 65 bugs on shipping costs!

So, any help - the sensor of my M8 is getting very dusty.

Thanks
Mario

Mario, go into a camera shop and get yourself a bulb blower, such as the one below. They come in all shapes and sizes. Get a large one for home and a small one that you can carry in your camera bag when you travel. They are great for all but the nastiest pieces of dirt and you don't have to physically touch the sensor. When using it, face the camera sensor downwards so that dirt and dust fall to the floor.

Hi all,

Sorry to say, but a bulb blower will only spread the dust even more.
I have purchase a small batteriy powered vaccum, and connected a small plastic
and flexible tub on it.
At the end of the tube, one the side that is going to enter the camera chamber, I wrapped a light and soft piece of lens cleaner pad around the tubing, leaving it out of the tube for 2mm.
First grossly clean the chamber itself and finish with the sensor, by applying a very slight pressure to get these dust particles out.
Perform a test by pointing your camera at a blue sky of white A4 sheet, lens on infinity, f5.6 or higher.
Make sure you see the result on your computer display, or cropping to the biggest on the Leica dislpay and scroll.
It works for me.

Goodtimes:)

Try this the "Green Clean" kit, it's very effective and easy to use
