Does anyone know this lens? I have never heard of it, but for the price.....it better be able to produce stunning images and cook dinner too. All of a sudden I like my Ultron better and better. ;)
If that lens took the photo's of the two guys down the page, it's not worth a penny
Zunow is a legend and its lenses are supposed to be real good. More: http://www.cameraquest.com/zunow.htm

The two main optical designers of Zunow came from Nippon Kogaku (Nikon) in the early 50s. The Zunow factory produced a few remarquable lenses, highly sought after by collectors today, before being bought by... Yashica in 1959. No wonder there are a few gems among Yashica lenses!

Never knew that. Thanks for the info. Yashica made a lot of good lenses actually, but never got credit for them.

If you look at the size, it appears to be about 2/3s the size of a CV35/1.7. IMHO, very handy. The focusing ring is UNUSUALLY thin. I think I could buy an M8 for that much money?

Well, I wonder if there are any photos taken with this (Or any other ) Zunow lens. Just to see how good it is. Or if it is for that matter.
Maybe the lens is legit but I don't trust the seller(s). They claim to be a world wide marketer, locations in Germany & Hong Kong, and they only accept wire transfers? They do not accept credit cards? That sound more like a rip off joint to me.
I can't comment on the pricing other than to say if it is close to correct the lens is clearly for collectors and not users.

Anybody notice how Arsenall moved from Germany to Hong Kong? Wonder why that happened.

I love the shot of their display cases. They cleverly positioned the camera to make it look as if they have a lot of gear, but only 2 of the sections have stuff in them, the rest are empty :)

Tax evasion? :D
Or maybe just to cater for the Asian collectors, who seem to be numerous and wealthy...

Ash, I saw once you were looking for a career, come out to Hollywood, they are always looking for comedy writers.

Comparing the number of "collector grade" camera shops I've seen in Asian cities like Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and Tokyo, to European cities like Amsterdam, Paris and Prague it seems there really are a whole lot more people willing to spend big bucks on collectable gear in Asia.

...and if you don't watch your mouth, you'll end up in a dark cell in the basement at RFF headquarters :D

The coating is so transparent, like it's not even there! I'm sure the lens didn't leave the factory that way. Probably an "aftermarket improvement" and the real reason for its price. Eat your heart (or T*) out Zeiss! :p

Their prices are generally twice market. But they sell enough to stay in business, and open a branch in Hong Kong.
