Will my 12538 hood that fits my penultimate version 50 Summicron also fit a collapsible Summicron, or will I have to search for an IROOA? I think that is the right one, IROOA/12571.

it'll fit. the only difference is material, right?

No, the 12538 is the vented clip on hood. It is plastic. The IROOA is that longish round non vented thing that collectors pay big bucks for. I just found your post regarding the rectangular hoods. Did you ever get an answer?
