It is usually a smallish show. There is basically a room with a bunch of vendors. You walk around and try to sell and buy used camera goodies. I know there will be at least one guy there with a bunch of rf stuff. There are a few high end dealers, and a bunch of consumer level dealers. I always find it great for finding accessories, and selling gear. There are usually a few supprises as well. I find it is well worth the $5 cover. The key to a good deal is in the bargaining, which I find fun.

Pete,
I will be wearing the hat in my avatar, if you see me say Hi.
Not going to be able to make this one; I have unchangeable plans already.
But, how often does this happen? Or, any idea when the next one will be?
Have fun at it!

They have this show twice a year. The next one will probably be in September or October.
THE CAMERA SHOW IS IT'S TOMORROW(3/25)! SO EXCITED!
Route 20 is a nice drive in the fall so I'll keep this in mind for later this year.
Have fun tomorrow!
My usual practice for these kinds of shows is to decide how much $ I can spend and leave the credit cards home and just bring that amount in cash with me. Well, plus a little more for lunch/beverages.

I do the same, I would be completly poor if I brought plastic to the show.

I just packed up the gear to sell, and the lenses I need caps for.

I love these things, you get to see so many things you only see in photographs and the people often know a great deal about arcane photographica.. They're great.
There was one in Toronto 2 weeks back.. Maybe Albany in the Fall, not far, pleasant drive and could be fun. Give us a report?
happy hunting! :D

I had a funny experience two years ago at this show. A guy was standing with a magnifying glass over a nikon lens. I heard him say something like "It's a shame, If this line was on a slant this lens would be worth a lot of money"

Agh, I'm wishing I was still living in my beloved Hudson Valley right about now. Are those the catskills in your avatar IGMeanwell?

Yup ... July 2nd 2005 ... its currently being rebuilt and hopefully we will have water at the cottage this year (its my refuge)
I took this picture last summer:

One the left side of the photo where it is all grown in.... that is normally under water during the summer
BTW, didn't make it down to the camera show as I was working on my rear brakes all day... frustrating
Edit: I found this picture too I took the winter of 2005... I could get close to the where the dam broke and the destruction it caused (luckily no one was hurt)
