I do the cooking too, I like my cooking ;).

Cheeseburgers quick on the grill, in the snow. Spring starts tomorrow at 8pm, snowing or not, so I am grilling.

I grill year round actually. My Weber has seen it's better days, I may have to replace it this year after 11 strong seasons. Built like a rock though, I bet I can rebuild it and just keep using it.

11 years must be a record. Is there a grill hall of fame? :)

My wife usually cooks, but I am the better/more creative cook. She needs to follow recipies. I don't need no freaking recipies! :)

I cook as well...last night I cooked some tuna...sushi grade of course...seared on each side for about a minute or 2...wasabi and soy sauce on the side. Made an asian slaw with napa cabbage, scallions, toasted sunflower seeds and slivered almonds.

A buddy of mine just got a job at a local fish market so I get the sushi grade tuna for 9 bucks a pound...

tonight was nothing too exciting, long day

rover,
webers are the bomb*...slow cooking on a weber using indirect heat with some wood chips for flavor is awsome!

I love it Guys in the kictchen! :D

I do the lion's share of the ccoking at our house, which really helps to keep my "slender" figure ;) Here in central Texas the weather is warming up which means a lot of outdoor grilling. Tonight was salmon wrapped in proscuitto on the ole Weber. Mv brother is a 3 star chef in NYC which helps with new recipes and new preparations of old favorites. This time of year also means asparagus, on the grill of course which my wife and son are now completely sick of . I keep telling her that the season is almost over so she doesn't have long to wait.

Maybe we should create a new forum, "Cooking with Cameras" or "Roasting with Rangefinders" :D

Let's keep those recipes coming!!

My uncle has had the same Weber for 23 years!! Two new sets of wheels, 3 grease and ash pans and last but not least 7 replacement cooking grates. I use only charcoal for cooking. I save the GAS for other things;) My Weber will be handed down to my son and hopefully to his kids after that Nothing beats a Weber!!!

YES, but you need to do it "upside down".
Prepare your dough as usual and place it on the pizza pan of your choice.

Your fire should be banked for indirect roasting. First grill all of your toppings, except the cheese.

Place the pan on the grill, cover and let the dough cook on the top, about 10 min, Flip the dough, add your toppings then the cheese, cover and let it cook for about 15 min.

O'kay "chilihead".... I've got one for you!

Chipotle Shrimp

(1) small can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
2lbs of peeled shrimp (size is up to you)
1 Green Pepper Diced
1 Red Pepper Diced
1 Red Onion Diced
3 Cloved Minced Garlic
1 Pint Heavy Whipping Cream

Remove Chipotles and Sauce/ rough chop
Place chipotles and sauce in mixing bowl and add shrimp (marinate shrimp in this mixture for 1 hour.

Take the remaining peppers, onions and garlic and sweat these in sautee pan for 15 mintues or until translucent. Place shrimp in the pan with the pepper and onion mixture and cook for an additional 15 min.

Pour in heavy cream and season at this time with salt and black pepper. Cook this for 30 minutes over low heat until sauce thickens.

Serve over steamed rice or penne pasta whichever your choice.

You should enjoy the heat from the Chipotles

So, some provide "recipes" for developers I'll go ahead and provide the formula for Tuesday night dinner

Good luck and give me your review when you can!

Sherm, Chef calls foul, according to your plan you've just cooked your shrimp for 45 minutes. That is about 40 minutes too long.

:)

It's just rare in the US - in April/May and some parts of Germany/France it's very common !

Great point

I understand your concern regarding cooking time. This was the time that was given to me, but I agree 100% that the cooking time for the shrimp should be reduced if Frank wants to.

Usually when I cook shrimp I place them in boiling water and when the water comes back the boil I stop the cooking. Only thing to remember is that not everyone will like them the way that you and I do, but you're right that almost undercooking is better than overcooking.

Any Soba recipes you can send this way???

My girfriend and I both cook a lot. Actually, she does it for a living. We have a side project of a cooking blog- she does most of the cooking, and I photograph the food before we eat it. Between us, we prepare 4 out of 5 meals for ourselves at home, and try to post a new one several times a month. Check out the blog at: http://www.kaybrayscooking.blogspot.com/

Tonight Im sipping some Jack Daniels then Im going to cook some garlic mashed potatoes and chicken schnitzel, with some Brie cheese as appetizer.
Chicken Schnitzel:
thinly sliced chicken breast coated in egg and then flour.
Then completely coated in crushed and seasoned cornflakes.
Then fry in oil for approx 5 minutes until golden brown on the outside
and nice and juicy on the inside.
Add a glass or two of your favorite white wine.

I just finished. Peruvian style beef kebabs, grilled onions and bell peppers, and a brown rice pilaf. Kebab recipe from steve raichlen's barbeque bible. We had a beautiful sunny day with a high near 70. Really made me want to grill.

My neighbors asked me to dinner but it didn't stop me from firing up the smoker and putting a couple of pork loins on there. The weather here today was near 80 so cooking outside was definitely in the air.

We'll be making another pizza tonight while we watch "The Shield". Tonight it will be ground turkey, turkey bacon, onion and garlic.
Oh, and beer of course.

My vodka & soda w/lime hisses away, then it is on to making some soup- red lentils I think, to go with some 'garlic knots' a very garlicky bun concoction from a new pizzeria nearby. My wife picked them up on the way home from bringing my son to the Dr. A salad of spinach, lettuce, red cabbage and carrots will likely set alongside.

Yes they were. The red lentil soup was as well. Salad was, well ok, lettuce hasn't been all that great in VT lately, but I gotta have my salad.

Now, I'm looking forward to breakfast- I take a red grapefuit, banana, frozen blueberries and raspberries (this time of year) and some ground flax seed and whip that all up with this little hamilton beach whipper/blender thing. Sometimes have it for lunch if there is a 'big breakfast' in my daughters heart.
