Attention Konica Auto S2 owners

The Konica Auto S2 is very solidly built, but the oddly cheap plastic battery cap strips easily.
Currently on eBay there's a seller who has several NOS original replacement caps for $4 each BIN.

That's a very good price. Definitely the Achillies heel of a fine camera--the QC boys must have had too much Saki the day they designed that part. I bought a some spares from Greg Weber, ace Konica repairman.
