I converted a jpeg P & S shot of my recently arrived Bessa R to
a small .tif file of 155k and posted it in flickr. It looks great!

So, I'm wondering why small .tif's are not allowed in RFF?
Thanks, mike

It seems that Flickr will convert your .tif file into a .jpg :)
Well, the flickr conversion looks pretty good!
Thanks for the tip, Mike ... I work in TIFF all the time, as I have my negs scanned to high res TIFF by my lab. Now I won't have to convert to JPG in GIMP, PS, etc. when I upload to flickr.

Hi Max,
I love your "Happy but not done."
Whatever flickr did with it, they did it well.
I guess jpeg IS the widely accepted format.
Our guys in DSLRx sometimes shoot in RAW...
and then convert.
Cheers, mike

Hi Mike, yes, I find it amusing too, I'm definitely never done and as soon as I sell a lot of gear, within 3 month the shelf is full again. So I am now trapped between getting a CV 21/4 in CBM, and of course I still lust after Zeiss lenses. Ah well!
Not a funny day, I've got the tonsils and I developed a roll of fomapan 400 before taking a hot shower... now sipping on Orange Jaipur tea while the film dries... ;)
Results will probably end up on flickr in a couple hours :)
All the best,
Max
