I came across a 1978 set of instructions for using Edwal FG-7 in my darkroom stuff the other day. I scanned it, thinking some of you might enjoy seeing the B&W film list from that time ...

I've been having a hard time getting any developing times for current emulsions, though. I'd like to use this developer again, and I do have one liter of concentrate.

I have two rolls of HP5+ that I'd like to develop with it, and another one in Rodinal 1+50 (don't cringe) just to compare.

Does anybody know a good source of info for Edwal developers?

FG-7 is still a great developer IMHO
Last used it 4 or 5 years ago in some HP5+

I haven't used FG-7 for years, but when I look over my older negatives developed with it, they look exceptionally good. I've seen fresh bottles of the stuff at Henrys in Toronto. Next time I'm there I'll try to jot down a few notes from the side of the bottle on modern emulsions...

I forgot to check the Massive Dev Chart. Doh! Here you go: select FG7 and you'll get all the times for the new emulsions:

Thanks, Gene, but it only lists one ISO rating (320). I'd like to use 400, 800 and 1600; 400 for now, 1600 for the future.

Is 1+15s the Sodium Sulfite-reduced mix?
