I recently bought a new old light meter to use for my Kiev 4 and yashicamat and ended up with a Leica MR.

As I understand, when put on the accessory shoe of an Leica, this meter is coupled to the shutter speed dial. Does anyone know if this coupling between the meter and the shutter speed dial also works for any of the FED or Zorki bodies?

No, it doesn't. The MR has a pin which couples to a slot in the M's shutter speed wheel. In order for this to work, the speed wheel mustn't rotate during exposure. The MR will fit some Zorkies and FEDs, and you can use it for metering, but the coupling won't work.

Thanks for quick answer. Then I just keep continue with my Kiev and keep the meter in the pocket (like any other meter). Or finally get a Leica M some day :-)
