Does anybody know a recipe for home brewed film fixers?
I am going to try the Caffenol developer, and I would like to try a home brewed fixer (if any) for my B&W films.

Thanks in advance for any advice and tip.

Buying fixer is the best and cheapest solution.

However, I've heard pool de-chlorinator can be used as fixer.

De-chlorinator can indeed be used. I, however, was unable to find any here in Amsterdam. We have water that's not chlorinated so there's no demand for the stuff.

Today I tried the Caffenol recipe (http://shardsofphotography.blogspot.com/2007/03/developing-film-in-coffee-1-roll-of.html). It worked a charm with Efke KB100. I had to wing it with the fixer as I didn't have enough for a regular dilution. :)

BTW, for a stop bath you can use vinegar.

Even easier than vinegar for stop bath for film is plain water.

I posted some of the results of my developed-in-caffenol roll of Efke KB100 (exposed in Aug. 2005, in a FED-5 with I-61 L/D lens) on my blog:
