The ring for the horizontal ajustment is found beneath the covering ring of the rangefinder. Beneath it is a ring bearing a smaller ring with a glass, by turning this smaller ring you can ajust the rangefinder vertical.

The screw adjusts the horizontal, vertical alignment is by rotating the prism behind the front RF window ring. I think you may be confusing vertical and horizontal meanings...vertical is up/down, horizontal is left/right (think of the horizon).
Thanks Guys,I got a little off track on item #17 on the Sticky for Fed2's.There it says vert. is done with the removal of the rangefinder window. It's done with the screw.Working good now. Thanks...........Robin

That's right: that's vertical alignment (up-down).
The horizontal (left-right) is done by screw behind a screw on front.
horizontal is like this
