Help with my new 35mm viewfinder

I just received my 35mm viewfinder to work my Jupiter and Kiev. My question is how do i "activate " it? I have attached the finder, but it does not seem to do anything. I was expecting some method to focus, but it seems to just be a plain view. Any help would be appreciated.

it's just to line up your shot. it doesn't DO anything.
you focus with the regular (part of the camera) vf.

it takes some geting used to.

(not that i ever did)

HAHA....I was thinking the same thing prior to purchase. It couldn't be that hard could it! Very glad I grabbed one.
