thumbnail maker/picture resizer

Does anyone know of a good picture resizer program that could be used with win/mac computers for posting pictures on rff?There was a good one that left it with a "thumb32" extension but i can't find it anymore on the web.

Somehow my mac os x has a long list of apps which i definitely did not install, that can resize to different thumb sizes the image files you select. You just select the files, control-click, open with... and there they are.
Maybe they arrived with the photoshop cs, i don't know.

I use a program called EasyThumbnails. It does good work, and keeps the file sizes low at good quality.
