Hi gang,
I've already got a Nikon Coolscan V for all my 35mm scanning needs, but I need a medium format scanner basically for scanning photos to put on the web. I don't need anything very high quality, probably a flatbed that can handle up to 6x7 images. Any ideas?
Thanx,
Ara

I use an old 2450 Epson. Can do up to 4x5. USB connection. I scan high, tweak a little on Gimp, and resize to 550 - 600 pixel wide. For web, you don't really need a high end scanner.

Epson 3170... I bought one of ebay a couple of weeks ago, and it's pretty good. Will do up to 6x9 MF.

My scenario was the same as yours. I bought an Epson 4490 and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the scans. Supplied software isn't bad too, but there is a learning curve.

Affordable too, mine cost about $185.00 USD from Amazon.

Thanks guys. Sounds like Epson is the way to go. I'll investigate.
